The Guild of Property Professionals has launched a new learning platform, which provides its members with a comprehensive suite of resources that are designed to enhance their agency knowledge and skills.
The Guild says this ‘strategic move’ is part of its commitment to continually elevate standards within the estate agency sector and ’empower its members with the tools they need to thrive in a competitive marketplace’.
Paul Offley, compliance officer at The Guild, emphasised the organisation’s dedication to promoting professional development within the industry.
He said “Our new learning platform is a testament to our ongoing mission to raise standards and provide our Members with the resources they need to stay ahead in an ever-evolving sector,” he stated. “We are committed to facilitating continuous professional development and progression, ensuring that our Members have the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles.”
The Guild has offered the following information regarding key features of the new learning platform:
Associate Schemes
The Guild’s Associate Scheme is a training course that includes all of the basic, foundation knowledge and understanding required to be an estate agent. The content has been reviewed and approved by Cambridgeshire Trading Standards with whom The Guild have a primary authority partnership. Amongst other things, the scheme covers essential topics from personal safety to Data Protection and Anti-Money Laundering.
PropQual
Taking training to the next level, PropQual provides Members with the opportunity to achieve a recognised Ofqual Level-Three certificate or diploma in Residential Sales and Lettings, reflecting legislative variances across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland.
Guild Bitesize Training
Weekly live webinars hosted by The Guild’s in-house team provide brief yet highly informative sessions on diverse topics. Members gain insights into maximising the use of tools and services to grow revenue and market share. Additional bitesize training modules will have the option of attracting Continuous Professional Development (CPD) recognition.
Social Media Training
Recognising the growing importance of social media, the new learning platform integrates a social media toolkit. This resource equips agents with tips for effective use of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and video content to expand their businesses. In-depth training videos cater to various skill levels, guiding agents through the intricacies of building an engaged audience.
Cornflakes & Compliance
Every Wednesday, a new compliance video is released, offering vital tips and updates. Delivered by Compliance Officer Paul Offley, these videos cover crucial compliance topics, such as AML risk assessments, referral fees, and Data Sharing Agreements, to name a few.
Offley added: “A significant amount of effort has gone into developing an engaging and interactive platform. The platform will continue to be populated with up-date materials, as we believe this is crucial for maintaining continuous professional development and progression within the property industry.”
