Best Estate Agent Guide Awards: And the winners are…

The 2023 EA Masters took place in London yesterday, where the best of the UK’s estate agents met face-to-face with innovative suppliers exhibiting goods and services.

The event was a major success with more than 1,000 estate agents and industry suppliers attending.

As well as the prestigious Best Estate Agent Guide awards, this year’s EA Masters presented the People Awards, Innovation Awards and Supplier Awards, shining a spotlight on businesses and individuals from across the sector.

Awards were presented by television presenter co-hosts Rachel Riley and Dermot Murnaghan. Chamberlain Phillips were crowned Sales & Lettings Agency of the Year in the Best Estate Agent Guide Awards, with both David Livesey and John Halman receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award and Sarah Edmundson receiving an Outstanding Achievement Award.

The Sales Agency of the Year was Nicol & Co and the Lettings Agency of the Year was James Pendleton.

Founder of Best Estate Agent Guide and EA Masters, Peter Knight, said: “Receiving one of these awards is one of the best accolades you can hold in our industry. Those listed in the Best Estate Agent Guide undergo the most rigorous and comprehensive independent assessments to prove they are truly the best of the best.

“This year’s EA Masters was another fantastic event and I would like to thank everyone who attended, and extend my congratulations to every one of the worthy award winners.”

Jan, as the incarnation of everything an agent shouldn’t aspire to be, this might be greater validation of the success agents and suppliers alike achieved on Tuesday than the actual awards themselves!

The only awards granted on the day that required any form of submission were the Innovation Awards and were open to suppliers and agents alike. The awards look to recognise the ‘best 20%’ in our industry. This is no easy achievement in itself as, despite my agency having rave reviews and performing well at other industry awards, we have failed to make this category since 2018. What’s more, several major agent awards throughout the day were won by agents who had not bought a ticket to attend and had therefore spent nothing.
As suppliers, agents are invited to vote on a list of over 700 industry suppliers with just 10 awards on offer. There were over 60 sponsors at the event yet just 4 of the awards went to sponsors/exhibitors.
