Online property training specialist The Able Agent has announced the launch of an industry first Level 3 Certificate in Agency Management (CEAM). The flexible new course and the qualification (currently in development), are designed to fill a gap in the existing training available for agency owners and managers – helping to develop them into strong leaders.
Like all Able Agent training, the course has been produced as bitesize learning, enabling attendees to access it when and where they want via video, ebooks, interactive tasks and quizzes. The content can be followed in any order, at any time, and helps solve individual and business training needs.
Course modules include: principles of management and leadership, ethics, managing a team, managing individuals, managing legal compliance, skills for business performance and personal development, managing customer service, managing budgets, data and resources to increase business performance and managing HR and relevant legislation.
The CEAM is open to individuals keen to build up their management and leadership skills. It is also available to larger groups looking to run their executive teams through the training alongside a wider management program. This then gives the opportunity to recognise the success with a Level 3 management qualification, and accompanying CEAM nominals.
Charlotte Jeffrey-Campbell, founder, and director at The Able Agent, said: “When we designed this program, we were keen to support managers by ensuring they have the practical skills to drive business and manage a team in a specific property environment.
“We looked at other similar training programs, keen to design something unique to the sector. Our focus was to bridge the gap in training when successful negotiators and listers are promoted into management positions, and to enable companies to develop well supported trainee manager schemes where those achieving the qualification will obtain post nominals after their name – popular for recognition and learning development.
“Career progression is becoming increasingly important to industry incomes. We could see that existing management programs either focus on Level 4 in Leadership and Management or via an apprenticeship. Some of the courses available entail a heavy workload of a two to three-day time commitment each month over the course of 15 to 18 months and ultimately a generic management program. The CEAM offers greater flexibility at an affordable price and is designed to really build both practical management and leadership skills – helping to future-proof agencies, and to drive forward professionalism in the sector.”
Nicol and Co is set to launch the course to its team.
The firm’s personnel officer, Charlotte Kerr, commented: “We are pleased to see the roll out of the CEAM, and excited to offer it to our managers and aspiring leaders. By equipping our staff with these vital skills, it will continue to drive our business forward and enhance our culture of excellence.
“This initiative also underscores our commitment to professional development and provides the next step in the continuous progression of our team, after completing additional Able Agent qualifications such as CEPAP, CeLMA, CePM, and CeLAP.”
On 12 June, The Able Agent will be hosting a webinar ‘Introduction to The Able Agent Management Training’, where the team will be on-hand to provide more information about the programme. To find out more, agents can register at
