Two female pedestrians were hurt when a high-powered Maserati 3200 crashed into an estate agent’s premises on the corner of two streets.
One, aged 25, was seriously hurt, and the other, aged 34, had minor injuries after the car smashed into the front of Fox and Sons in Brighton. One victim is understood to have been trapped between the car and the entrance.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
A spokesperson for Fox and Sons, part of Connells Group, told EYE: “Thankfully the incident took place at a time when our branch was closed and therefore no staff were involved.
“Our thoughts, however, are with those pedestrians that were injured.
“We have liaised with the emergency services following this and our branch will need some remedial work, but it remains fully operational with access via our secondary entrance on Borough Street.”
