Suppliers produce free offers to agents in bid to help through the difficult times

A number of suppliers to the industry are coming up with free offers.

A new app is being made available without charge by KPR to all letting agents which will allow tenants to fill in a simple assessment report of their property, thus reducing the need for agents to enter tenants’ homes during the pandemic.

Once completed by the tenant, the app produces a mid-term report allowing agents to fulfil their obligations to landlords, maintain a good relationship with tenants, and stay in line with the Fitness for Human Habitation law.

CEO Darren Clapp said that tenants have already been completing reports using the app and it is going down well with agents who appreciate something they can work with rather than just advice.

Canopy is offering agents comprehensive free tenant referencing.

This is available to existing customers with immediate effect. It is also available to new clients for three months, subject to them signing an 18-month contract.

Tahir Farooqui, founder and CEO of Canopy, said: “This is a moment to shift from selling to supporting letting agents, landlords and tenants to the best of our ability. These moments call for an act of solidarity and a real sense of community.”

TwentyEA is offering smaller agents – those with five or fewer branches – free access to its marketing platform, Prospect.

The offer is available for 15 months, from April 1 until June 30 next year,  and will allow agents to use the service to target home owners for leads.

Callwell, the service that ‘makes phones ring’ when portal leads land in an agent’s inbox, is adding a new free service tomorrow (Wednesday).

Called Carewell, it will allow agents to schedule and make regular calls to landlords, vendors and tenants, essentially on a friendly basis to check how they are.

The feature, which works for those agents working from home, is free to both existing agents and new customers – although they will have to pay for the cost of the actual calls.

Ros – you haven’t mentioned the thing that we hope will be of most use right now. We hope that agents will use Carewell to offer regular friendly calls by their staff to ANYONE, not just customers. With so many vulnerable people out there feeling alone, knowing that they have a regular call from someone could be SO important.

Zoopla is free for 6 months for Guild Members.

mio is free until the end of this year for new and existing estate agents.

Are there any more? Let’s highlight them here for all agents to investigate and take advantage of.

Personally, we find mio great, and has come in to its own with our staff now home-working.

    MoneyPenny is a God send.

Let’s share the good news and good suppliers guys…..!
