Spicerhaart director leaves ‘with immediate effect’

Daniel Ansell, the director in charge of Spicerhaart’s Taurus Chapter, has left the business with immediate effect.

Ansell, 38, was appointed in September 2022, and was until today responsible for a number of its estate agency brands: Haybrook, Butters John Bee, Darlows and haart, as well as ensuring the smooth running of key business relationships.

He was previously with Connells for more than a decade, latterly as an area director responsible for 12 branches, but originally started his career as a trainee negotiator with Countrywide.

It is not clear why Ansell has suddenly left his position at the company.

A spokesperson for Spicerhaart told EYE: “Daniel Ansell, the director in charge of Spicerhaart’s Taurus Chapter, has left the business with immediate effect.

“Spicerhaart has confirmed it will be recruiting his successor as soon as is practically possible to help the company drive the business forward in 2025. In the meantime, the Managing Director of its Orion Chapter, Tommy Taylor, will be assisting the Joint Group CEOs Antony Lark and John Phillips in managing the business, supporting Founder and Chairman Paul Smith.

“Spicerhaart has exciting plans in development, including a multi-million pounds acquisitions strategy and the expansion of its property management services, investing in cutting-edge technology, and enhancing its client offer to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of the property market.

“The company announced last week that it will be doubling the size of the new Spicerhaart Training Academy. Over the last three months it has seen 150 talented individuals embark on a new career in Estate Agency and on an industry-leading training programme, investing in people to ensure quality services and standards remain high.

“Spicerhaart remains steadfast in its focus on innovation and harnessing expertise, along with its commitment to delivering exceptional service and staying ahead of market trends.”
