Somerset-based Westcoast Properties has announced the acquisition of a “substantial rental portfolio” from a “well-respected local agency”.

Westcoast Properties has five offices spanning from North Bristol to Burnham-on-Sea and specialises in residential sales, lettings, property management, block management and student accommodation.

The latest strategic purchase brings Westcoast’s management stock to approximately 950 properties. According to the company, this will solidify its position as “the largest rental agent in Nailsea and one of the leading rental and management agencies in North Somerset”.

As part of the latest acquisition, two staff members, Leila Burleton and Petra Brace, have been added to the team. “They have been integral to the success of the portfolio and will continue to work closely with landlords, ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining the high standards of service that our clients have come to expect,” a Westcoast spokesperson said.

Lindsay Pickles, finance director at Westcoast Properties, said she was “thrilled to integrate this portfolio into our operations and expand our services within Nailsea and North Somerset”.

She added: “Retaining Leila and Petra is a key aspect of this acquisition, as their expertise and relationships with landlords are invaluable.”

Nicholas Webber, director, commented: “This expansion not only enhances our portfolio but also reinforces our dedication to supporting the local community and economy.

“As the leading independent rental and management agent in the region, we are poised to continue our growth and deliver unmatched service to our clients.”
