Shaken, not stirred: This is our industry’s very special agent

The name’s Cox.

Chris Cox.

And actually, he’s a letting agent – although, in his own way, also a special agent.

Step forward Chris Cox, of Finders Keepers, Oxford, who has been doing a roaring trade as lookalike for James Bond star Daniel Craig.

Since the release of Casino Royale nine years ago, Cox has been moonlighting as a James Bond lookalike.

His resemblance to his doppelganger Daniel Craig means he has been in regular demand for public appearances.

Since the release of the latest 007 film, Spectre, Cox has attended six events across the country and is still receiving enquiries.

Cox’s foray into the world of celebrity impersonators wasn’t planned.

A friend happened to own a mobile bar company called Shaken and Stirred.

The friend noticed Cox’s resemblance to Daniel Craig so when Casino Royale was announced, he suggested they take some publicity shots for the bar with Cox dressed as James Bond.

Things took off from there and Cox is now registered with several agencies which book him for corporate events, gala evenings and charity fundraisers.

Cox has no intention of impersonating Daniel Craig full time, however.

When he’s not sipping Martinis or saving the world from imminent destruction, Cox is an integral part of the Finders Keepers team, saving if not the world, then perhaps a deal from falling through.

Dan Channer of Finders Keepers said: “Chris’s resemblance to Daniel Craig has had unexpected benefits for us.

“The central Oxford office has a surprising number of walk-ins from the street. Perhaps we should consider moving his desk a little closer to the window.”
