Letting agents and landlords are being warned of a scam aimed at those who belong to the custodial scheme run by mydeposits.

The scam imitates an email from mydeposits and asks the member to confirm their email address.

Mydeposits is warning members not to click on the link and to contact the scheme immediately at info@mydeposits.co.uk

The scam appears to be limited to mydeposits only.

Both the Deposit Protection Service and the Tenancy Deposit Scheme said yesterday that they have not been targeted.
