Savills had the most visited estate agency website in the UK in May, Hitwise has said.
Comparing the websites of seven national agents – but with some obvious exclusions, for example no mention of Countrywide or Winkworth – the web traffic analyst said Savills had just over 42% market share.
This was followed by Knight Frank (28%), Hamptons (12%), Strutt & Parker (11%), Jacksons-Stops & Staff (8%), John D Wood (4%) and then Cluttons with just 0.89%.
If this were EAT I would be posting as the small kid in the crowd watching the King in his fine new cloak
Are Hitwise (the tailors) prepared to come and have a discussion about hits and how they relate to the KPI's of an Agency?
For too long property portals and web traffic analysts have been pumping out impressive figure to impress their customers. Agreed that in most cases the numbers are genuine but until someone sits and works out how many hits it takes to sell a property then these impressive figures themselves are meaningless.
With every respect to Savills, their Web site and their print advertising has always been "Kinnell" advertising, very impressive on every level. Impressive Quality, Impressive Adverts, of Impressive properties. They really shouldn't be surprised people are looking at their web site for the entertainment value alone.
