With just one week to go before the start of the Rugby World Cup we thought you might like to take a look into the home of one of England’s heroes.
Former England Rugby Union captain Lewis Moody has advertised his home as a holiday let on Airbnb, just in time for the tournament.
The 2003 World Cup winner has invited guests to stay at his home for up to a week, and has even offered them the chance of a game of rugby in his back garden.
For £150 a night, which will be donated to charity, guests will be able to stay at the four-bedroom house in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire.
Moody wrote on Airbnb: “The World Cup is going to be an amazing experience for competitors and spectators alike and I’m keen to share it with as many people as possible – and what better way than to open up my own home?”
The listing on Airbnb says: “We have a beautiful and spacious family home situated in the historic market town of Bradford on Avon with a garden complete with rugby posts and plenty of rugby balls for kicking practice. I’d even be game to give my guests a few rugby pointers.
“The ground is very close to The Recreation Ground (Bath Rugby’s official stadium) and within easy commute of Bristol and Gloucester (via train or car), so there’s plenty to do both on the doorstep and nearby.”
The home accommodates eight people in its four bedrooms, has two bathrooms, five beds and lists its amenities as a kitchen, heating, internet provision and a TV – to watch the rugby, of course.
Welsh Gareth Thomas has since followed suit, advertising his home in St Brides Major, Bridgend, on the site.
