Romans set to accelerate growth by more acquisitions

The Romans Group has announced another step in its expansion strategy with the acquisition of Drummonds in Caversham, Berkshire.

It is the eighth acquisition for Romans since 2013, when a £12m finance facility was made available by the company’s bankers for business purchases.

John Grimes, founder of Drummonds, said: “Romans’ recent growth and ongoing success made it clear to me that this would be a smooth move that would really benefit my clients.”

Peter Fuller, pictured, managing director of Romans Lettings, said: “We are ready and able to consider any acquisition opportunity, and plan to accelerate our rate of growth.”

Romans has 22 branches in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Oxfordshire. The firm is widely tipped to enter the stock market.
