Rocket Auctions set to take off after well-known firms merge

My Auction has merged with Bamboo Auctions to form Rocket Auctions, an online auctions platform open to estate agents across the UK to list properties.

Rocket Auctions, part of the enlarged Bamboo Group, will offer estate agents the ability to sell properties through Bamboo’s technology platform.

Bamboo has more than 1,000 estate agent branches that currently use its white-label auction services; the total number of agents will increase to more than 1,100 following the merger.

Stuart Collar-Brown, founder and chief executive of My Auction, will also take up a new role as the group’s in-house auctioneer, and will be responsible for expanding the group’s estate agency network.

He said: “Joining forces and forming Rocket Auctions creates a new powerhouse in the world of property auctions and I am thrilled to be part of this venture.

“The merger gives us access to over 1,100 estate agent branches in the UK, which allows us to have a much larger impact on the world of auctions. I’m excited to keep spreading the good word and helping clients who need to find a solution to whatever problem they are facing in the current market.”

Robin Rathore, chief executive of Rocket Auctions, added: “Bringing My Auction together with Bamboo to form Rocket Auctions as an additional service to our customers will help estate agents sell more properties. We have a shared ethos to make auctions fairer and more accessible to all, and Rocket Auctions will lead the way in education when it comes to property auctions.”

As long as they not charging the buyer an extortionate fee like “Pattisons Auction” and “I am Sold” which I believe is between 4 -6 % to the buyer, then I wish them the best.
