Rightmove has hosted a three-day property portal summit at its head office in Milton Keynes – an annual event where leaders from some of the world’s top property portals come together to share ideas and insight from their local markets.
This is the first year that the summit has been held in the UK, with 50 representatives from Germany, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Singapore and South Africa all in attendance.
The conference included several presentations and workshops on a range of subjects, including social media, data strategies, and how new technologies are helping to improve the home-moving experience for consumers across the world.
Giles Howard, head of partnerships at Rightmove, said: “Having representatives from other market-leading property portals round the world come together to learn from each other has proved extremely useful every year, and this year was no exception.
“Though the markets we operate in might be different, we are all innovative technology-based businesses and we are all focused on making improvements to help our customers and consumers.
“It’s been fascinating to hear about the way that our Spanish counterparts approach user experience on mobile and how ImmobilienScout24 in Germany are running trials to qualify leads more effectively.
“Coming together to share ideas in this way helps all of us to short-circuit some of the investigative work on exciting new projects for our customers and helps us create even better consumer platforms.
“It helps Rightmove give our advertisers an extra advantage in their quest to reach, impress and win more business from more home movers.”
Next year Agents Mutual should be there at the bash
