Rightmove – full year results

Rightmove has announced that it will be announcing its full year results for the 12 months ended 31 December 2021 at 7am on Friday 25 February 2022.

A presentation for analysts will be available online from 7.15am that day at plc.rightmove.co.uk/investors/results-centre.

The last financial update provided by Rightmove, in July, revealed that the property portal achieved record levels of web traffic during the pandemic, registering 1.4 billion site visits in the first half of the year, as customers reassessed housing needs.

Rightmove’s half-year profit – six months ended 30 June 2021 – surpassed pre-Covid levels due to a buoyant housing market and reversal of discounts offered last year, while projecting strong sales for the rest of 2021.

The company announced that pre-tax profit rose to £114.7m from £61.6m, while the board said it was confident in delivering its expectations for the full year and beyond.

The property website saw healthy growth in average revenue per advertiser on its platform, and record low levels of churn or defections by estate agencies to other property portals.

Rightmove, which said it expected the trend for the rest of the year to “follow a broadly similar pattern”, said ARPA jumped 63% to a record £1,163 per month, up from £1,077 in 2019.

The company said operating profit came in at £114.9m for the six months ended June 30, compared with £61.7m 12 month earlier and £108.2m reported for the first half of 2019.

It might be a bit mega geeky but  I’m looking forward to seeing the traffic stats- I’ve built a way of comparing  apples with apples,  plums with plums and  raspberries with raspberries so seeing how their actual numbers tally with mine will be a seriously significant milestone in verifying the analysis of the very vague term  ” “record traffic” ”
I’m guessing I know numbers they don’t know. How about Rightmove is 30x as good at generating new user engagement for agents than Google

    Can’t wait!
