Rightmove appoints new media agency

Rightmove has appointed Wavemaker to manage its UK media account and promote its latest brand platform with major integrated campaign.

Wavemaker replaces independent media agency Electric Glue, which had handled the Rightmove account for 10 years.

Electric Glue’s most recent contribution was as part of Rightmove’s ‘believe it’ integrated campaign, which launched on Boxing Day, designed to tap in to the traditional post-Christmas and New Year upturn in home-moving activity.

The current multi-million pound, multi-channel campaign will run for a few more weeks, leading up to the spring selling season.

In September, Rightmove evolved its brand communications to highlight to people that by using Rightmove’s tools and services, and by turning to agents for expertise throughout their home-moving journey, they can believe that they can make their move happen.

The 60 second and 30 second versions of Rightmove’s latest TV ad ‘Dunk’ has been shown across ITV, Channel 4 and Sky, with the media plan designed to capture the wide-range of audiences that may be considering a move in 2024.

The integrated campaign has been boosted by additional ad placements on YouTube, Spotify, Podcasts and video on demand. Activity across PR, consumer content and social has provided step-by-step guides and advice on how to get ready to move in 2024.

Matt Bushby, chief marketing Officer at Rightmove, said: “Really excited to have Wavemaker UK on board as we continue the Rightmove mission to give people the belief they can make their move. We can’t wait to get started with this brilliant team.

“Big thank you to The Aperto Partnership for your support in helping to build this exciting new relationship.

“Finally, thank you to Electric Glue for being such a great partner in the Rightmove growth story for over ten years.”
