Review of the Week: And what a handsome tribute!

Here is a contender for our Review of the Week – EYE’s new series.

We think it is really rather splendid.

The link to it is below, but you can also enjoy the somewhat admiring screengrab.

Other contenders for Review of the Week will be happily accepted by EYE’s editor.

Well… I guess we could ALL amass 20k+ “reviews” on the basis of the one above – and the likes of this one:

This is a review after a viewing? That means some weeks we could get 30 to 40 of these posted on noTP

The review is ‘under review’.  Although I’m sure I went to school with Gerry Lucey and he is an estate agent now…

Yup – he was giving a glowing “review” of his 2-week training programme with the company and the icky brilliance and wonderfulness of the trainer – who some that read it might say has got himself a bit of a #bunnyboiler…

You have to laugh, though at the use of their standard #nuke excuse being used here:

‘We pride ourselves on the integrity of our reviews, and respect the right of all Purplebricks customers to leave their feedback, both positive and constructive. We have been unable to verify this five star review as a genuine customer of Purplebricks and as such have requested that the review is looked in to by Trustpilot Compliance.’

        You couldn’t make it up.

No – scrub that.  You WOULDN’T make it up

LAYDEES AND GENTLEMENS… if anyone wishes to question the reach and influence that EYE has on our industry this is the perfect line on Frau Renshaw’s CV.

This “review” was #nuked by PB within 2 hours of my posting it above – which was about thirty seconds after it was delivered by #ICBM upon the unsuspecting public on the TP website.

I wonder how much of a #meltdown it caused; what the #fallout will be… but the warmth that #radiated from pupil to teacher was, frankly, #atomic

        Wish I’d worn my #blast_goggles…

      Yes, Shaun77 – WE ARE!

And it’s ONLY us – ‘cos LoTP don’t give a fuppenny what their PAYING customers do to increase their FIVE STAR reviews – and seemingly what they do to reduce their 1- and 2-star ones either…

It is not so much the  reviews that are there but the ones that aren’t. In spite of, as admitted in one review and on a tweeted screen shot of a training session, the listing reps having targets for TP reviews  the numbers of actual reviews don’t really tally with the number of claim instructions or claimed completions

If  I had 100,000 clients all who had saved £thousands and got one over on racketeering  traditional agents and I had an 88% 5* review rating I would expect at least 44,000 5* reviews.  I think it’s odd that there are so few reviews

Check out eBay Robert. Most people still don’t write reviews. The natural inclination is to write a negative review when disappointed but do nothing if satisfied  (10 times more likely according to research carried out many many years ago before it became a marketing strategy to try and get people to review).

But with ‘TP reviews’ as a lister’s target and apparently  according to one review foreign holidays as a reward surely the reps are pushing and pushing for 5* reviews. Perhaps the reps are revolting and disregarding the target but given that background it is  strange that even with the deletions of a lot of negative reviews, after 3 full trading years the total reviews is only about 22%.

If the savings are so good , the service so brilliant but moreover vendors have  stuck two fingers up to the traditionalists they apparently hate why aren’t there more reviews?

If you are comparing selling a home with selling stuff on ebay I think you just painted a very vivid picture of  the professionalism of Purplebricks.

        ABSOLUTELY ON THE MONEY!

You’ve just highlighted what is so blatantly wrong about the whole shebang.

        But… somehow, I don’t think that was your intention…

Additional comment: Less than 10 minutes after this review went up Purplebricks asked TrustPilot for it to be removed (I have since found out this is common PB practice) as they cannot verify it is genuine (which I assure you it is). Clearly Purplebricks employ someone full time just to monitor their beloved TrustPilot rating. How many five star ratings have Purplebricks asked to be removed because they do not believe them to be genuine? I am guessing none! PB heavily advertise their TrustPilot rating. If I had had a pound for every time the agent mentioned it in their valuation, it would have probably covered their fee.

This perfectly represents Purplebricks ethos. Sweep problems under the carpet. Or in this case, kid yourself you have a five star rating simply by removing all the negative comments and ratings.”

      Another one logged by Julia towards her holiday. Next we will be seeing a 5 star review for every photograph taken and shown to the vendor;

‘What do you think of this one of the kitchen….can you just give me a 5 star rating for that one please…..it all helps us sell your property you know!’
