Referrals organisation the Relocation Agent Network has launched a new pilot partnership with NAEA Propertymark.
The initiative offers selected NAEA agents the opportunity to receive pre-qualified valuation leads.
It also allows RAN to expand its coverage across the UK.
NAEA members who sign up to the initiative will have to meet the same criteria that full RAN members are subject to, and be based in an area where the RAN network does not have coverage.
The partnership is being rolled out in phases, with agents in the north of England, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland being invited to join the initiative first.
Richard Tucker, RAN’s managing director, said: “We’re delighted to launch this partnership.
“It’s an exciting opportunity and one that will help to support NAEA member estate agents, as some of them face challenging market conditions.”
NAEA Propertymark chief executive Mark Hayward said: “We’re delighted to pilot this new business opportunity, adding additional income streams for members and working with like-minded agents for whom the highest professional standards are paramount.”
The Relocation Agent Network is part of global relocation business Cartus.
RAN members refer house movers to fellow agents in other parts of the country.
So let me get this straight, the National Association of Estate Agents are getting into bed with a commercial concern who presumably get access to its membership in order to sell their services. Just exactly how does this sit within the articles of the association and thereby also alienating a chunk of its membership. Never more so has it been evident of just what a clique the NAEA actually is.
