Independent agent O’Riordan Bond has confirmed that it remains on the acquisition trail after buying one of its local competitors.
O’Riordan Bond, which operates across Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, has acquired Acorn Sales and Lettings, a single office independent based in Earls Barton, Northamptonshire.
O’Riordan Bond owner Simon Bond said: “We are delighted to welcome Acorn to the O’Riordan Bond team and they bring with them a reputation for unrivalled customer service, a healthy sales pipeline and a lettings business managing in excess of 120 properties locally.”
O’Riordan Bond, which is celebrating its 22nd birthday, currently has 12 branches across the region as well as a property management department and Mortgage Advice Bureau franchise.
Bond said: “We are continually looking for well-run local sales and rental businesses who believe they would benefit from being part of a larger independent company without compromising on that single-office culture which helps them deliver a real point of difference to their clients.”
Adam and Philippa Plater – previous owners of the business – are stepping away from Acorn to concentrate on other interests.
