Regional agent continues on the acquisition trail with purchase of lettings business

Major regional agent Michael Jones has acquired a competitor, EasyLet.

The business, bought for an undisclosed sum, was formerly headed by Rochelle Hawes and managed almost 300 properties across West Sussex. It will now rebrand to Michael Jones & Company.

In May, Michael Jones acquired Bacon & Co, a year after buying another local firm, Curtis & Son.

Founder Mike Jones said: “As a business we see great value in growing and developing our sales and rental business.

“We are delighted to announce we have achieved our initial target of 2,000 fully managed properties in lettings through our latest acquisition which will significantly contribute in strengthening our overall position as a group.

“We are actively looking for other acquisition opportunities in the area as it is an important part of the group’s growth and expansion plans.”

The business recently announced the introduction of a hub style of trading, centralising a number of activities in its Worthing office.
