The Client
Our client is one of the UKs leading buyers of residential property, commercial property and land.
Established in 2012, the company has experienced year on year growth and now buys in excess of 250 properties a year and employs over 20 people.
They offer liquidity solutions for people who need to cash in property related assets in a quick timescale, and pride themselves on their exceptional service and ability to help customers with their problems and try to provide innovative solutions that can take the stress of selling their property away.
They are looking to recruit a Head Underwriter/Valuer to research the property deals that come in the company from our extensive advertising campaigns.
The Role
- You will be responsible for making sure that the company successfully purchases deals at a price consistent with our business model.
- You will be in charge of looking over every potential purchase and compiling a report on the value and exit strategy for each property and relaying this information back to the team of negotiators who will deliver the feedback and offer to the vendor.
- You will have 1000 to 1500 enquiries coming in on a monthly basis and any candidate should be able to identify the best opportunities for the company to buy or trade.
- You will also be tasked to identify possible development opportunities and/or properties where redevelopment/development may add added value to the site.
The Candidate
- Candidates should have a wealth of knowledge in all areas property related and an existing book of contacts to draw upon when needed for advice/support or to help move any potential deal on to turn a profit.
- Candidates should have a background in either property surveying (RICS or MRICS), Bank Underwriter, Repossession Underwriter, or Asset Valuer.
- Only very experienced candidates should apply with a minimum of 5 years in the property industry and excellent credentials.
Salary
- Salary will be between £40,000 – £60,000pa depending on experience.
