Recruitment firm seeks crime expert to help with landlord licensing

A recruitment company is looking for a crime analyst – to help a council run a selective licensing scheme.

Community Safety Skills is advertising the post at £40,000 a year, on a six-month contract.

The advert in the Guardian (where else?) says the role is to provide data “to support a selective licensing scheme for the private rented sector”.

The job is full time and in East London.

Although the council concerned is not named, the advert does seem to speak volumes about how private rented tenants – and their landlords – are viewed.

The advert says that the job will suit someone who can understand data and number crunching, and also be able to write reports.

Community Safety Skills specialises in supplying crime reduction, anti-social behaviour and community safety workers to the likes of local councils and schools.
