All-in-one listing provider Made Snappy 360 has taken the unique step of hiring a US hip-hop singer to highlight the topic of AI at the upcoming Propertymark One Conference and Exhibition on 27 June.

Propertymark One, a fusion of the annual NAEA and ARLA Propertymark events and rebranded with the theme “raise your game”, this year features a Tech Bar run by Reach UK showcasing some of the latest innovations in AI impacting the global real estate industry.

Made Snappy, who use AI to help agents create floorplans, photo edits and virtual tours is one of more than 50 exhibitors showcasing estate agency solutions at the event.

According to Made Snappy NED Ashley Rigg, it is the first time a UK-based PropTech firm has used hip hop as a promotional vehicle in the estate agency space.

He said: “I’ve been in the industry nearly 15 years and I can’t remember anyone aiming a rap at estate agents. If you ask my teenagers, I’m so far away from being ‘down with the kids’! It’s just a bit of fun really and it’s a nice way to highlight an important industry trend as well supporting an up-and-coming artist with obvious musical talent.”

As well as featuring an interactive Tech Bar run by National Association of Realtors backed PropTech scale-up programme Reach, a key topic at the conference is AI’s emerging role in UK property.  The AI discussion is led by Dave Garland, managing partner of Second Century Ventures which funds multiple PropTech companies across the globe.

Propertymark’s Jason Lee commented: “Although the role of AI in the UK property sector is a key theme for the event, it’s important to remember that it’s only useful to the extent that it frees up time for the residential agency sector to focus on what’s important: building relationships and making sales.

“We acknowledge to huge emergence of AI in our industry and have designated a piece in the main programme by Dave Garland, an industry expert on the subject.”
