In case you were not aware – it’s Scam Awareness Month.
And as our friends over at the landlords forum Property Tribes point out, the property industry is particularly rife with scams.
Vanessa Warwick lists a few here but we suspect our own readers could come up with a lot more.
Thanks very much to Property Industry Eye for sharing this guide to how to avoid property scams and fraud.
Our industry is rife with it, and one of the best ways to stop scammers is by industry self-regulation and creating awareness through education.
Thanks again to EYE for the support.

Couldn’t agree more Vanessa. There are two corporate agents I would love to see someone try and reign in…… not a hope I’m afraid.

For the purposes of staying safe, I would like to point out its not a scam, it just feels like one.
