A spoof advert on Zoopla said that one of the plus features for a property was that it had “local drug dealers close by”.
The listing has now been taken down.
Yesterday evening, Zoopla said it was not something they could comment on as the listing had been placed by an agent.
The advert was for a three-bedroom terrace house on Crowthing Street in south London being marketed by Harrison Sellars in Croydon.
However, Crowthing Street does not exist, and the postcode mentioned on the page is for another house, on the similarly-named Crowther Road, in South Norwood.
According to newspaper the Independent, Harrison Sellars is run by estranged husband and wife Garth and Angela Harrison.
The story says that other bizarre listings claiming to be posted by the estate agents included one advertising a four-bedroom terrace in Shepherd’s Bush which claimed to be on sale for the outrageous price of £43.8m.
Mr Harrison told the paper that he runs a side of the business that is completely separate from the estate agency side, which is run by his wife.
The local newspaper has also been musing over it here
Toot as you go by this lovely house…
It’s a sniff at this price…
If it were up for sale I’d have a crack at buying it…
You’d be a dope not to buy it…
Meticulously tended gardens – not a weed in sight…
Hope the Agent doesn’t make a hash of selling this one…
I could go on – this is addictive!
