Property awards open for submissions

The Michelmores Property Awards are returning for 2026. Submissions to the awards officially opened this morning.

The awards recognise projects across the West of England’s property, development, and construction sectors. Judging criteria include design, delivery, overall purpose, and social, environmental, sustainable, and economic impact.

The 2026 Awards cover a broad range of project types and scales. Categories include:

+ Project of the Year (Categories 1 & 2)

+ Regeneration Project of the Year

+ Education Project of the Year

+ Leisure and Tourism Project of the Year

+ Heritage Project of the Year

+ Residential Project of the Year (36 homes and over)

+ Residential Project of the Year (35 homes and under)

+ Building of the Year

Projects can include new developments, large-scale residential schemes, regeneration, heritage, and community-focused buildings. Shortlisted and winning projects receive industry recognition among peers, investors, and decision-makers in the West of England. Previous winners have included residential, education, leisure, and mixed-use developments.

Applications are invited for projects largely completed during 2025. The submission deadline is Thursday 5 March 2026.

Emma Honey, head of property at Michelmores, said: “The Michelmores Property Awards continue to showcase the very best of what the West of England has to offer, and I am delighted to launch submissions for 2026. Each year, it is inspiring to see how the sector has grown and evolved – embracing new ideas, innovative approaches and an ever-stronger focus on sustainability and long-term impact.

“I am consistently impressed by the quality and ambition of the submissions, and I look forward to seeing the breadth of entries this year and to celebrating the achievements of our region’s property professionals.”
