Cheshire Police is appealing for information after a fake estate agent knocked on a man’s door and asked to take photos inside his home.

A resident was left feeling worried after a man claiming to be an estate agent attempted to enter the property.

The unknown man knocked at the door of the property on James Atkinson Way, in Crewe, on Friday 18 June.

The police told the press that the man, who had dark hair and was wearing shirt and shorts, claimed to be an estate agent and asked to take pictures inside the address.

However, when the owner of the property told the man his home was not for sale and asked for some identification, the bogus agent left the address.

Cheshire Police say no arrests have been made.
