What’s an agent to do when a property looks like, well, this?
Rob Kahl, managing director of Scott & Stapleton in Essex, opted for a combination of honesty and humour.
His Rightmove listing warns people to “wipe your feet on the way out”, and in the advert he admits: “I can’t flower this one up or use my normal estate agent jargon to make this sound any better.”
The result? 25 viewings in three days, and the property went under offer in three days at £25,000 more than the asking price.
Roy Brooks would be proud.
It’s a masterly exercise in how to sell a tip
Perhaps our politicians can learn from this and inject some honesty into their dealings

Every estate agent should read the ” Brothel in Pimlico” before they write up their first property description. If nothing else to stop some of the more appalling write ups we see advertised.
Just saying !
