Picture of the Week – and we can only say ‘Watch the birdie’.
Purplebricks Local Property Expert Bryan Tyler was in Brentwood, Essex, taking pictures of a house when this wild peacock flew into shot – and started posing.
It’s certainly different! And yes, we have asked if the picture will be included in the online details.
But, we also have to ask, will it ruffle the feathers of another online agent – eMoov, which happens to be headquartered in Brentwood.
And what about those other agency brands Hatched and Nested?
It might call itself a peacock, but is it the real deal? It doesn’t do what full service peacocks do……supposedly posing without fanning its tail out. Perhaps it’s a victim of cockmisery!!!

I googled cockmisery. I wish I hadn’t.

No-one in their right mind would buy a house visited by a male peacock. Purple Rage would follow, along with some hard-hurled Purple Bricks, as it began its mating calls and display – it’s ear-splitting and hardly an asset to a property. This peacock seems to have a bit of fuzzy mould growing out of its head, so maybe it’s not long for this world. It also appears to be into levitation with its left foot floating above the stone it’s standing on while a right toe missing. There’s a funny line along the stone under the tail while that beautifully regular pillar has a chip out of it just below the peacock. Strange the effect peacocks can have on their surroundings!
