Phil Spencer, well-known TV presenter and founder of Move iQ, has today announced the launch of a new YouTube channel, First Home Focus, primarily aimed at first-time buyers.

The channel, launched in association with Skipton Building Society, will aim to provide practical, jargon-free advice to help newcomers navigate the often-daunting home-buying process.

Spencer commented: “Buying your first home is a huge milestone, but it can also be confusing and overwhelming. Our goal with our new First Home Focus YouTube channel is to simplify the journey and empower first-time buyers with the knowledge and confidence they need to make informed decisions.”

Move iQ’s first-home focus YouTube channel will cover everything from budgeting tips to understanding mortgages and the legal steps involved, delivering essential insights in a relatable, easy-to-understand format. Episodes will also be released on The Move iQ Podcast in batches ‘Netflix style’ to ensure first-time buyers get timely access to content all in one go.

Charlotte Harrison, CEO, Home Financing, said: “At Skipton, we understand how challenging the home-buying process can be for first-time buyers. That’s why we’re proud to announce this sponsorship with Phil Spencer and Move iQ for a series of informative podcasts on the
new First Home Focus YouTube channel.

“This collaboration allows us to reach a wider audience with the guidance and support they need to navigate their journey with confidence. Whether it’s understanding the mortgage process or learning the key steps to securing their first home, we’re committed to making this exciting milestone more accessible and less overwhelming for first-time buyers.”
