Winkworth has issued an apology after its Kensington branch mistakenly revealed the email addresses of hundreds of buying agents in a business mailout.
Buying agent Henry Pryor was one of the recipients and duly Tweeted: “Live now to @Kenwinkworth who have just emailed out a property to 348 buyers – but NOT ‘bcc’d!”

However, a spokesman for Winkworth told EYE that the message was a business to business communication to buying agents and not to buyers.
A statement from Winkworth said: “We have recently been made aware of the issue concerning our Kensington office where an email was sent out to a number of addresses without blind copying.
“Having conducted an investigation into the details of the matter, we found that the email was business to business communication and all of the recipients were buying agents.
“We are regretful that this human error has been made and apologise to those involved.”
