OnTheMarket has launched the first in an ongoing series of video interviews to share information with their customers.

Hosted by Vikki Bennett, the portal’s Head of PR and Content, the half hour interview format of the first video features Mark Hayward of Propertymark, and Cory Askew of Chestertons.

Hayward talks in some detail about the ongoing planning that is taking place at Government level to create a practical protocol for the resumption of estate agency work in due course.

Measures are likely to include rules for physical distancing on appointments and viewings; use of masks and gloves, sterilising of items such as doorknobs; and home owners removing themselves from rooms that are being visited.

Hayward indicates that the protocols are likely to be finalised in ‘not more than two weeks’.

Cory Askew gives detailed information about how Chestertons has adapted its business to embrace new technology, especially virtual viewings, and looks forward to how the market will be post-lockdown.
