Hybrid agency Yopa has appointed a new regional director for London.
He is Ben Ainsworth, who joins from Knight Frank.
Ainsworth started his career at Dexters, where he specialised in launching new offices, before moving to Knight Frank in 2016.
As head of the newly launched Aldgate office which focused on the City of London sales market, he was instrumental in building a successful team and client pipeline.
Under his leadership the office took a 24% share of the market within a year of opening.
In his new role, Ainsworth is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of Yopa’s London agents’ businesses.
Ben Poynter, CEO of Yopa, said: “Ben joins with a wealth of experience in building up practices for some of the UK’s most reputable estate agency brands, while his impressive sales track record speaks for itself in terms of his drive and ability, making him an asset to our growing team.
“We are delighted to have Ben on board to support Yopa’s local field agents, share his expertise in customer service, and help deliver fantastic results for the team.”
Ainsworth said: “Yopa stood out to me as an exciting, fast-moving business that’s really shaking up the industry, and I’m delighted to now play a part in its growth story.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to build on the company’s successful strategy by supporting local London agents and encouraging them to push for increased market share whilst ensuring an unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service.”
Silly move, he can’t be that good then.

Hmm! 24% in first year?
I think I managed 37% where I am and I didn’t think it was all that.
Second: wouldn’t yopa really need someone who understands the internet thing more than roof tops?
After all it’s an on line business !!!

I can see, in this market, why an agent would want a complete career change but to go from agency to advertising seems a bit silly. Hey ho, each to their own.
