Online agent 99Homes has launched a recruitment drive for Local Property Experts.
The firm, which expects online agents to take 50% of market share “in the near future”, says that becoming a self-employed LPE is a good alternative to going down the franchise route.
The business charges sellers from £99, and landlords from £49.
Co-founder Vijay Vashistha said that ideal LPE candidates will be property professionals who have already got a database and good local area knowledge.
He said that it was hard to predict how much an LPE might earn but added: “Those currently associated with 99Homes are earning enough and that’s why they are with us.”

Absolute Tosh. (a) Not a hope of staying in business (b) LPE cannot earn to cover the basic grocery bills.
I recommend Mr Vashistha reads some of Mr Quirk’s previous predictions on the rise and rise of the online only sector (note inclusion of the word only) before he goes into crystal board mode.
Yes I am sure their “LPE’s” are making mega money charging £99 and £49. With those fees and potential earnings they must be inundated with ‘property professionals who have already got a database and good local area knowledge’
I’m sorry I thought yesterday was April Fools day!
These LPE’s need to start their own agency rather then being under an umbrella.
