Novice auctioneer of the year winner shows lots of talent

A competition to find this year’s novice auctioneer of the year has been won by David Henwood of Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

Henwood won the NAVA Property title this week, with the competition held in Droitwich Spa.

Under the criteria, entrants must have conducted less than three auctions or have been at the rostrum for less than a year.

Competitors had to auction a diverse range of lots, including a red telephone box, a detached seafront chalet, and a freehold parcel of land, with guide prices from £1,500 to £65,000.

Three competitors were then selected to take part in a real charity auction in the gala dinner final with £1,100 proceeds from the lots being donated to homeless charity Centrepoint.

Runners-up for the title were Marino Costi from Philip Arnold Auctions and Christopher Theocharides from SDL Auctions.

Congratulations to all.
