The Nottingham Sherwood branch of Whitegates has purchased a local independent agency.
The acquisition of independent McLean Property Services sees Whitegates Nottingham Sherwood, owned by directors Julian Divine and Chris Davis, adds just over 180 properties to its managed portfolio.
Divine and Davis also own Whitegates branches in nearby Beeston and Heanor and the McLean acquisition takes their managed portfolio across the three offices to almost 1,000 properties.
One member of staff from McLean will also transfer to the Whitegates Nottingham Sherwood office, while Divine and Davis have recruited an additional full-time member of staff to assist with the increased portfolio.
Divine commented: “McLean is a family business which had built up a healthy portfolio of properties and their big selling point was their personal service and direct interaction with their landlords.
“We’re a much larger operation at Whitegates and we’re looking forward showing our new landlords the benefits of a larger corporate structure, while also retaining that very personal and hands-on approach through our local property management team.”
Kate Randall, managing director of Whitegates at The Property Franchise Group, added: “This is Julian and Chris’s sixth acquisition across their three branches and their appetite for growth is infectious.
“I know McLean’s landlords will benefit hugely from the advanced systems and technology on offer from Whitegates, while also enjoying the personal touch and excellent service that all offices of Whitegates are renowned for.”
