Not baad! EweMove branch releases heavy metal-inspired Christmas video

EweMove’s Leighton Buzzard franchise is showing it is anything but sheepish, with a Christmas video set to a heavy metal festive soundtrack.

Branch director Simon Hancott is featured giving Father Christmas a run for his money by rushing around the town to put Santa hats on EweMove’s For Sale and Sold boards.

All this is set to loud guitars in a song called Merry Christmas To You by an artist called Dan Squared.

Watch the film below, and do send us your inspirational Christmas videos to video@propertyindustryeye.com and we will feature them on EYE.

Nice touch .Leighton Buzzard certainly  one of the more successful Ewemove  franchisees ,fair play to him. However In the spirit of Xmas  spare a thought and perhaps  organise  a bit of a whip for the lost sheep  who have quietly disappeared from  the flock this  year. The  forgotten collateral damage in the woolly  story

Regret by New Order , I Should Have Known Better  by Yo La Tengo or If I Could Turn Back The Hands of Time by R Kelly more than likely  to be on their playlist than Jingle Bells

    Amongst those gone this year

Stalybridge, Newmarket. Bolton North,.Stevenage ,Poole& Parkstone. Staines &Ashford..Pudsey Bournville ,Salford Altrincham .Cardiff ,Croydon Streatham ,Laindon Park ,Doncaster South  ,

Good point Hillofwad71. Many more Ewemove ‘branches’ will disappear in 2020, but I am sure more will also appear as their recruitment team will sell a franchise to anyone!

Hillofwad71 has educated me.  Not that I’m in the market to buy a franchise but I’m heavily invested in the industry and I had no idea about the level of EweMove failures.  No axes to grind.  I just hope anyone considering spending their savings would thoroughly research what they’re getting into.

Early riser! Well lets hope those whose dreams have been shattered by the frothy pitch are able to brush themselves down and are able to get a life .

Last August the soon to be departing Ian Wilson said

“What made my heart sink deepest in franchise suitability interviews were the words “My wife/husband/friend and I have always wanted to work together”.
Our failure rate in those cases shot up dramatically, and I can reel off the divorces and acrimonious splits which followed over the years. Business partners must bring different qualities to the venture, or when the going gets tough one will turn to the other and say “I don’t need you, I could do this by myself”.
The irony is not lost with that damning comment  is those are the very people  they are still recruiting .New husband and wife franchisee last month A pulse and a wallet is all that is required

Middle aged  couples ,no property  experience .late career change hoping  for a  smooth lucrative passage to retirement A quick  scan thru Zoopla and the lack of instructions shows its anything but

A huge congratulations to Simon, Chris and Sam at Team Leighton Buzzard.  I love the way they embrace the brand to grow their local and substantial business.  It just goes to show that folks from both within and outside of the Agency sector can be hugely successful under the Ewemove franchise.  Top Job!

Bah Humbug, other than the self-obsessed agent themselves, who among the great mass of population really gives a figgy pudding for what said agent does or doesn’t do at Christmas to their boards, cards, songs, windows, advertising etc. Just a complete waste of time; doesn’t change the public’s perception of them one jot, or win them any business.

Keep your money sheepboy, you’re going to need it in 2020. Give a donation to a  local homeless charity instead (a real one, not Shelter or any of those faux-charities)

Wow! It’s amazing any businesses succeed in this industry if this is the level of bitter negativity we throw around on a forum just for our types of business and at some people putting fresh and real initiative and creativity into this industry. If we carry on like this people just won’t share anything, It’s pretty shameful really.

Well said.  In our local market being able and willing to co exist with other agents is so important.  I hope our competitors would see us as super competitive when it comes to business but also supportive when needed. Nothing wrong with that I say.

Fair point .It is unfortunate that Franchisees like  Leighton Buzzard ,resourceful and successful  are overshadowed by Head  offices recruitment and mentoring .elsewhere . They can’t be happy to see other franchises falling by the wayside .It doesn’t reflect well

None of Ewemove;s peer group suffer so many delinquencies which show no signs of abating  What are Belvoir doing differentally for example ?

When Wilson in some sort of Ratner moment throws his arms up in despair disaparaging  the  process which is still happening under his nose at Ewemove  why hasn’t he intervened

For example  there  are 2 husband and wife teams at the moment North of Watford  One been going 3 years carrying over 6 figures worth of creditors to  this year the husband has had to take up another job and still only a  handful of instructions

One other  couple late career change 16 months ago  with just a couple  of sales in the 1st year carrying a financial burden into the next  with less than a  a handful of sales instructions  to service  -its only getting worse   certainly not sufficent to sustain 2 mouths
