North London agency snaps up competitor

L-R: Alan Goldin with Paul Ruocco

North London agency Home Minders has acquired Alan Goldin Estates.

This transaction represents Home Minder’s third acquisition, following Simon Clarke in 2014 and Stark Joseph in 2016, nearly doubling the properties on its books to over 400.

Initially Home Minders, based in New Southgate, will be run in parallel with Alan Goldin Estates, located in Temple Fortune, but benefit from sharing strategic goals, staff, facilities and services, according to managing director Paul Ruocco.

He explained: “We are excited by the opportunities this expansion gives us. Alan Goldin has an enviable reputation and is predominantly a lettings agency based in Temple Fortune.

“Not only is it a good fit with Home Minders, where the focus is on property management and maintenance, but we believe our core values and working philosophy are aligned. We are bringing our management expertise to the Alan Goldin business and it expands our reach across north London.”

Alan Goldin Estates will continue to trade from its existing office location in Temple Fortune and proprietor Alan Goldin, who set the business up in 1992, will oversee a handover to ensure a smooth transition.

Ruocco added: “I believe the two businesses are complementary and over time we will integrate the Alan Goldin brand into the Home Minders group.

“The combined business will be enhancing its online presence and using the power of social media to ensure properties gain maximum exposure. This will further strengthen our capability to deliver first class residential property letting, maintenance and management across central and north London.”
