Rightmove has said that a new style of property alert launched this week has been well received by consumers.
On Tuesday, it switched all email subscribers over to the new-style email alerts, which are now sent to one million people every day.
The new alerts focus immediately on the main property image and the price. They also offer users a cleaner design, and a clearer invitation to visit the site to view other relevant properties.
The first few days are showing that open rates and lead conversion are up, resulting in more enquiries being sent to agents, the portal said.
A spokesperson said: “People who enter the site from the new email appear to be more engaged than those from the old; the bounce rate is down by 8%, they are viewing 13% more pages, and they are spending 10% longer on site.”
The launch of the new-look alerts is part of a package of updates Rightmove is making before the end of this year.
ha ha ha ha ….. we've doing this for years. Only taken them 14 years to get round to doing it and viewers stay 10% longer on site, does that mean 10 seconds as they are not increasing sales?
