A new property portal has announced plans to take on the world.

It has already launched in the UK, South Africa, Indonesia and India, and plans to bring on another 100 countries this year.

In the UK, Commercial People will list only commercial properties, but elsewhere, its sister portal Residential People will also list homes.

The business said yesterday it has no plans to launch a residential offering in the UK.

Commercial People has been built with over 300 different translations, and will be exhibiting at the giant international property event, MIIPIM, in Cannes next week.

Commercial People, based in London’s Canada Square, caters for all types of commercial property on its UK site, including industrial, retail and offices and businesses for sale, but also offers search options for specific property types such as mills and cafes.

Its target customers in the UK include commercial agents and developers, and residential sales and lettings agents with commercial properties on their books.
