New Presidents take up their roles at NAEA and ARLA

New Presidents have taken up their roles at the NAEA and ARLA.

Martyn Baum, who was managing partner of Hartleys Estate Agents in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, until its sale last year and who is now sales partner at AJR in Loughborough, said his aim is to increase awareness of the NAEA “far and wide”.

Peter Savage, of Prime Property Management in Essex, taking office as ARLA President, said he anticipates a full year, with a busy legislative programme this autumn and a move for the ARLA conference to ExCeL next spring.

Both men spoke briefly at Friday’s excellent annual NFoPP dinner held at the Savoy, London.

The outgoing ARLA President, Valerie Bannister, of Your Move, has been appointed to the board of NFoPP. Last year, she won recognition for her outstanding individual contribution to the lettings industry at the Sunday Times and Times awards.

Also newly announced is the appointment of this year’s recipient of the same award, John Paul, of Castledene Group, as ARLA representative in the north-east.
