New platform aims to make it easier for agents to set-up a new tenancy

A new utility technology platform that enables lettings agents to manage various service registrations has been launched by Muuvo.

The new platform, which allows agents to access relevant information required when setting up a tenancy and registering tenants for council tax, water, gas and electricity, was founded by Jamie Parks, who has worked in the energy sector for more than 20 years.

Agents using Muuvo, which uses a range of datasets to identify existing suppliers and register new tenants, can enter a property’s details and immediately have access to information on council tax, water, gas and electricity providers, including meter details, as well as the property UPRN.

This can be undertaken at the point of listing a property or on an agent’s existing database of properties. Once found, tenants are invited to use the service and register their interest and are also given opportunities to review suppliers and add products and services such as broadband and TV.

Agents not only benefit from the improved productivity this creates but also by sharing in any revenues generated by a tenant switching or taking new products and services, not only at the outset of a tenancy, but on any subsequent renewal.

Parks said: “Agency users are benefitting significantly from streamlining important but time-consuming administration tasks, delivering improved service to tenants and securing additional passive revenues.

“The Muuvo platform is free to agency users and tenants and feedback from agents and tenants confirms our belief that this is a genuine opportunity to improve the moving process.”
