New managing director announced for Property Academy and awards events

A new managing director has been announced for Property Academy and Estate Agency Events, the highly successful businesses founded by Peter Knight.

Former agent Nicky Stevenson, who joined the Property Academy and Estate Agency Events three and a half years ago, has now been appointed managing director.

Knight said: “I first met Nicky at one of our events when she was at Chesterton Humberts and was struck by her passion for learning and development which is at the core of our business.

“Since joining us, Nicky has taken on more and more responsibility and I’m thrilled that she’s now taken the reins and will be developing the business further.”

Knight will continue to be a director of the company and additionally will be developing the LeadersINC brand which offers Mastermind Groups to other business sectors.

Stevenson said: “I’m very excited to have the opportunity to develop this fantastic business even further.

“Having been involved within the estate agency sector for all my career, this is the pinnacle role for me and I’m determined to develop even more services for our members.”

Estate Agency Events runs the two leading events in the residential agency calendar: The  Estate Agency of the Year and Lettings Agency of the Year Awards.

Both events, seen as easily the most prestigious in the industry, are run in association with the Sunday Times and The Times and are sponsored by Zoopla, with EYE as proud trade media partner.

Attracting a very large volume of entries, judging is scrupulous and time-consuming, and in recent years has been overseen by the ombudsman for estate agents Christopher Hamer.

Learning and mentoring organisation the Property Academy has three levels of membership and runs seminars and events designed to help sales and letting agencies fulfill their potential and improve their customer service and profitability.
