More new homes plus regulation of letting agents needed, parties are told

A flurry of ‘manifestos’ has been released by bodies including the NAEA and ARLA.

Their manifesto principally calls for more housing to be built, and for regulation in the private rented sector to ensure that all letting agents have client money protection.

The Royal Institute of British Architects called for 300,000 new homes to be built every year, including homes for older people who want to downsize.

The Council of Mortgage Lenders has also released a manifesto in the form of a video
