Chestertons International has appointed a new global head of sales.
Dennis Chan will take up the Dubai-based post on September 1.
He will be responsible for managing and growing the international sales department, including new homes.
Chan, whose CV has included a stint at Savills in Singapore, will become one of a team of eight people in the international department run out of Dubai.
Other members of it are Gavin Vercoe, who is responsible for developing Chestertons’ international franchise growth.
His appointment was announced last month alongside that of Derrick Maguire, who takes on responsibility for growing Chestertons’ franchise operation in the UK.
Maguire’s experience includes overseas work as well as roles at Belvoir, where he was regional manager for Scotland before subsequently running a Belvoir franchise in Edinburgh; and at Martin & Co, where he was regional franchise manager.
He has returned home to work in the UK, recruiting new franchisees who will all be outside the M25.
A Chestertons spokesperson said that all the London offices of the firm will remain corporately owned.
The spokesperson said: “London will remain 100% company owned and we will continue to invest in developing systems and trialling, and proving these in our owned offices before expecting a franchisee to use them.
“Unlike others we don’t ask our franchisees to do anything we would not do or have not proven in our owned offices. Our new franchisees will be outside of the M25.”
