A new tool allowing agents to use a Dropbox-style app to get pictures enhanced and floorplans produced has been unveiled today.
Called PropertyBOX, it offers agents a completely free service. The original pictures can be in any format, as can the floorplans.
It is being launched by property marketing firm KeyAGENT, which already processes 2.5m digital enhancement pictures a year.
The firm, originally a provider of Home Information Packs, is now looking for 100 estate agency branches to sign up to its new free app to help finalise trials and give feedback.
KeyAGENT managing director Rolf Groenewold said: “As enterprise solutions experts in the property sector, we are perfectly positioned to provide further game-changing solutions to help the industry.
“When our company transitioned from KeyHIPS to KeyAGENT back in 2010, I challenged the team to find a proptech solution that could touch every property in the UK.
“The resulting PropertyBOX concept was conceived in 2011 and has been refined ever since for our own internal use.
“We are now at a stage where the wider market appreciation for visual assets and cloud applications have matured to such a degree that the time is right to get everyone involved in our little bit of proptech magic.”
Co-founder Tim Wright added: “Historically, our unique technology solution has catered for professional photographers’ files.
“These have a uniform file format, but we’re now welcoming all kinds of photos from iPhone to DSLR, coupled with a range of settings and varying styles of floorplan sketches.
“Capping our invite to another 100 estate agent branches over the coming month allows us to test the tech and the wider proposition.
“We know the tech works – and works exceptionally well – but we expect some predictable and interesting challenges as we work towards our vision.”
The launch goes live next week on October 3.
