New financial chief with experience of management buy-outs announced at Leaders Romans Group

Leaders Romans Group has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer.

He is Paul Aitchison who has 16 years’ experience across several industry sectors, most of which were backed by private equity – as LRG is, backed by Bowmark Capital.

Aitchison said: “I have led several management buy-outs and acquisitions, plus put in place numerous bank loan facilities and refinancing arrangements.

“I have also implemented a number of systems that have increased efficiencies within the businesses I have managed – having always viewed finance as an important support function for the people on the ground making sales.

“I’m looking forward to helping LRG continue in its efforts to grow.”

Aitchison succeeds Michael Palmer, the previous chief financial officer, who has retired early to spend more time with his partner and do some extensive travelling – although he has not ruled out taking on future consultancy work.

LRG has recently announced a series of acquisitions, with new appointments including that of chief operating officer, David Wilson, who comes from outside the industry but has experience including energy, utilities and logistics.
