New boss announced for Belvoir business Newton Fallowell as founder becomes chairman

Newton Fallowell, part of the Belvoir Group, has a new managing director.

He is David Spackman, who has been promoted from his former role as franchise director.

Mark Newton, who founded the firm in 1999 and has led it since, becomes Newton Fallowell’s chairman while continuing his role as executive director on the Belvoir Group board.

Newton said: “David is very deserving of this promotion, and I would like to congratulate him. This reflects all the hard work that David has undertaken at Newton Fallowell, particularly during the past year.

“The timing of this announcement coincides with Newton Fallowell’s recent acquisition of the Lovelles network.

“These are exciting time for the Newton Fallowell network, which will now operate under three brands – Newton Fallowell, Goodchilds and Lovelles.

“I will still be very much involved with the business while working on several strategic projects for the wider group, including the further development of financial services.”

Spackman, who has been with Newton Fallowell for nine years, said: “I am delighted and very proud to accept the role of managing director.

“I have 32 years of experience in estate agency and franchise recruitment, having previously owned my own franchise recruitment business, which specialised in property.

“Prior to working for Newton Fallowell, I worked as head of recruitment at Belvoir for three years.

“Newton Fallowell is a highly respected company, with a brilliant reputation. I am very happy that Mark will be remaining in the role of chairman, as he is a superb mentor, and someone that I can confidently call on for expert professional advice whenever this is required.

“The acquisition of Lovelles marks another new chapter in Newton Fallowell’s history, and is a fantastic end to 2019.”
