Moneypenny launches new live chat service for agents

Telephone answering service Moneypenny is launching a new live chat service.

Available 24/7, it can – like its phone service for agents – be either fully outsourced or available as overflow support.

Joanna Swash, managing director of Moneypenny, said: “We are very excited about the launch of live chat.

“It gives customers another route to communicate with businesses as not everyone wants to call all of the time.

“It is also excellent for customer service and will increase the number of enquiries generated for our clients.

“Moneypenny itself is a great example of this, as we recently launched live chat on Moneypenny.com and it has already increased our enquiries by 30%.”

New research commissioned by Moneypenny shows that only 29% of small businesses in the UK are currently using live chat. While almost 50% of small businesses would consider using live chat, their main concern is that they do not have the time to manage it efficiently.

Live chat services aimed specifically at estate agents are already very much in existence and include Yomdel, which recently added The Property Ombudsman to its list of clients, and Chat Heroes.

Not everyone. Have you ever seen young people having dinner these days. 4 of them sitting at a table staring into their iphones. That’s the future.

I’m an old fogey and much prefer live chat which leaves you with a transcript of your conversation to check back on.

    Live Chat?

G*d it’s hard work, typing back n’ forth, only to find out the “person” or “bot” can’t help you, then you end up having to phone

    Overated

    A profession needs professionals!

Why must everything be dumbed down to the lowest level. If I’m spending 10’s or 100’s of Thousands of Pounds I’ll speak to The Organ Grinder, not The Monkey

    I agree with the above.

It’s like all the fuss over telephones, I mean everyone was happy with telegrams.

Can’t see how this interweb thingy will help either. Good old newspaper searching is where it’s at.

Yes, but I think you can cancel with just a months notice if you need to. So worth giving a go on the trial and maybe a couple of months after….. should be apparent by then if it is going to work for you and create return on investment in the shape of extra valuations.

I thought it may be helpful to confirm that the 30-day free trial is completely free and there are no strings. You can cancel any time in that period, but if you’re getting new business as a result you may not want to!

Irrespective of who you choose to operate your live chat, if it is really well executed it has the ability to seriously increase your website conversions.
