With the launch of Boomin, a new property portal, drawing near, an increasing number of agents are signing up to the platform.
Boomin says that it has now signed up thousands of agent branches, ensuring that it has a healthy number of property listings ahead of launch in the new year.
Agents of all sizes, including over 40% of the top 100, have already joined as founder agents, with new signings coming in each and every day, the company claims.
Boomin today highlights a further 15 new national and regional operators to have signed up as founder agents to the soon-to-launch portal, including Carter Jonas, Martyn Gerrard, Urban & Rural, Bond Oxborough Phillips, Hall & Scott, Perry Bishop, Steven Smith, Base Property Specialists, Coopers, Atkinson McCleod, Anthony Pepe, Richard Kendall, Brockenhurst, as well as Scott Sheen and Partners.
Michael Bruce, executive chairman and founder of Boomin, said: “For those who have seen the Boomin platform, the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.
“Agents of all sizes are embracing positive change and the latest technology to deliver a superior service for their customers and provide greater earnings potential for their teams.
“It is a privilege to get the opportunity to work with such a large and growing number of forward-thinking agents who are keen to be the pioneers of change and to ensure that they have greater influence over the future of their customers portal experience and their advertising spend. We will work tirelessly to support them.”
Good to see that EYE is keeping us updated on the daily opening up of envelopes at Boomin. Not much happening at OTMP, I guess

“Boomin says that it has now signed up thousands of agent branches, ensuring that it has a healthy number of property listings ahead of launch in the new year.”
So, in the space of 2 weeks, we have gone from “The new portal plans to launch before the end of 2020.” to a launch date sometime in 2021.
These weekly updates are going to get pretty tedious by January.

I love PR people …..
1/ “For those who have seen the Boomin platform, the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.”
2/ “Agents of all sizes are embracing positive change and the latest technology to deliver a superior service for their customers…..”
So the implication is Im a narrow minded luddite for not wanting to join…..and somehow I’m failing my customers in the process?

I think the clue is the spin on agents branches …. NOT AGENTS. Last week or so they only had 26 agents from 20,000?
Anything Bruce comes up with is spin and we all know what spin stands for.

Ever since he claimed Purplebricks sold 88% of its instructions I have treated any figures he quotes as being highly suspect.

“I can’t wait for another property portal to do my searches on!” said the consumer

Utter rubbish. This might sound mad but I’d rather see all portals finish. Instead it would be great to get the consumer off of their rear-ends and back into the world so they can find a property themselves. I believe that removing portals puts more value back into what we do as an industry. Once consumers see a trend that not all properties were on any of the portals, they would naturally start enquiring directly for fear of missing out. The properties I have sold off-market have sold for their full asking prices and with a much lower fall through rate for the very simple reason that there isn’t a ‘date added’. Maybe I’m just being nostalgic or un-realistic but wouldn’t it be great to not have portals at all?

Agreed, Web protals are now a way of life but a double edged sword for consumers, not just business’s.

Reminds me of some guy in the USA. Wants you to believe him.
Another property editorial report Boomin has 71 agents. A dismal failure if correct from 20,000 in the UK.
Is this not just another PB stunt by Bruce to raise the profile above what it really is acheiveing in a vain attempt to get more to sign up on the premis “Don’t get left out” as everyone is jumping on boad, which frankly is very suspicious spin.
Desperation setting in?
I would expect EYE to do some investigating journalism for its readers to see if they are contributing to spin?

Why haven’t PB joined?
Surely that’ll be the tipping point of success?
